Thomas Allen Stafford

Thomas Allen Stafford, 85, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Thomas was born March 29, 1935 in Ashland, a son of the late Ishmael and Beatrice Criswell Stafford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Virginia Lee Price and his most recent wife Leatrice Stafford, a son Robert Allen Stafford, brothers Jerry Stafford, Herbie Criswell and Bill Criswell.
Mr. Stafford was a member of the United Ironworkers Local 769. He served his country honorably with the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Carla Settlemyre and husband Blair of Lincolnton, NC, sons Gregory Stafford and fiancé Rettie Skeen of Ashland, Darrin Lee Stafford of Ashland, a brother J.C. Stafford of Oklahoma, a sister Betsy Stafford of Atlanta, GA, grandchildren Shane Stafford, Hunter Cyrus, Cindy Michelle (David) Anders, Bradley (Ronda) Laber, great grandchildren Brooklyn (Tommy) Wurth, Emily Anders, Leah Anders, Meliah Potter, a great-great grandson Samuel Wurth and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel by Randy Skaggs. Burial will be in the Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be prior to services Friday from 10:00am till service time at 11:00am.
