Walter Clay Mynhier Jr

Walter Clay Mynhier, Jr., 71, of Ashland, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 at his residence.

Walter was born January 12, 1949 in Ashland, a son of the late Walter Clay Mynhier Sr. and Margaret Kinzer Mynhier. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister Rebecca McCoy.

Walter graduated from Paul Blazer High School and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Greek Fraternity at Eastern Kentucky University and graduated with a degree in accounting. He was a Certified Public Accountant and worked for many years as an estimator in the building materials industry. He was a member of the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 350 in Ashland and an avid golfer.

Survivors include a brother, James W. Mynhier and wife , Kathleen of Louisville, KY; nieces, Kristen McCoy Epperly of Ashland, KY and Mary Frances Mynhier of Louisville, KY; nephew, John L. Mynhier of Louisville, KY; and host of cousins and beloved friends.

Per his request there will not be a service. Steen Funeral Home, Central Avenue Chapel, has been entrusted with arrangements.
