Wanda Hicks

Wanda Willis Hicks left this earth Thursday October 15th at KDMC following a brief illness. Wanda was born November 9th 1943 to the late Herbert Willis and Deva Crowe Willis also deceased. Wanda  celebrated a second birthday in March every year and insisted on cake for both.   Wanda was deep rooted in her Christian beliefs and was a member of Westwood Christian Baptist Church.   Wanda is survived by three children. Paul E Howard of Newport News Va. Joseph (Joe) H Howard and wife Laurie. William (Butch) D Scarberry and wife Lory. And a special cousin Claude Brown and wife Debbie. She had 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.   Wanda would do anything for what she loved. Especially her grandchildren or a Pepsi.   Steen Funeral is in charge of arrangements. Due to COVID 19 a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.    In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a meal to the hard working team on 2H at Kings Daughters Medical Center or a donation to Ashland Active Day where Wanda spent some of the best days of her life.
