Waska Bush Kersey

Waska Bush Kersey, 91, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at the Community Hospice Care Center.

She was born August 30, 1929, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Thomas H. and Cynthia Williams Bush. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Jack Kersey in 2019; a great granddaughter, Kate Parsons; six brothers and one sister.

Waska was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. She was a loving and devoted homemaker.

Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Pat (Gary) Ingram of Ashland; son, Keith (Cheri) Kersey of Ashland; grandchildren, Amanda (Marty) Brennaman, Kelly Ingram (Jeremey Lewis), Brandon (Vanessa) Kersey, and Aaron (Sarah) Kersey; great grandchildren, Jack Parsons, Madison Kersey, Asher Kersey, Scarlett Kersey and Everett Kersey; two step great grandchildren, Cade and Abby Lewis. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Rev. Jim Webster officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
