Wendell E. White

Wendell Eugene White, 65, of Ashland, died peacefully at his home while surrounded by his family on Friday, January 20, 2023.
He was born in Ashland, Kentucky on September 1, 1957 to the late Herbert and Maxine Stewart White. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Wendell “Austin” White; brother, Curtis White; a sister, Kathy White Barnett; sister in law Pam White; brother in law, James, Jarvis; a niece, Erika Lucas; nephew, Tyler White; and his father in law, Robert Caldwell.
Wendell was of the Baptist faith and was a retired Ironworker out of Local 769.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 37 years, Barbara Caldwell White; his sons, Brandon White (and partner, Derrik Horn) of Ashland, KY, Cody White (and partner, Tyler Halstead) of Hurricane, WV, and Bobby Caldwell of Millersburg, OH; grandson, Hunter Caldwell of Wooster, OH; siblings, Tim White of Catlettsburg, KY; Jeff White (and wife, Karen) of Owingsville, KY, and Linda Jarvis of Ashland, KY; his mother in law, Sandra “Kay” Caldwell of Millersburg, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023 at STEEN FUNERAL HOME 13TH STREET CHAPEL followed by a celebration of Wendell’s life at 6:00 p.m. with words of comfort provided by Pastor Mike Moore.
