Timothy Caines

William Timothy Caines, or Tim as he was known to his family and friends, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022.
He was born November 24, 1960, the only son of William Fannin Caines and Joann Click Caines both of South Point, Ohio.
Tim was a 1978 graduate of South Point High School. In 1989 he opened Pawn Shop Express and later Music Box Express both operating in Ashland, Kentucky. He loved music, attending concerts, reading, enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his sons.. Tim was very philanthropic, often giving to numerous charities both monetarily and with his time. He always put others first, gave everything of himself to his family and his customers, yet was always in a great mood and looked forward to the next adventure.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, William and Joann Caines of South Point, OH; wife, Lenora Caines of Ashland; two sons, Brandon and fiancé Haley Stewart of Ashland and Destin Caines of Ashland; grandson, Kai Caines of Ashland; sister, Patti Tyda of South Point, OH; niece, Kelly and husband, Eric Hawthorne of Nashville, TN; great nephew, Jax Hawthorne; and close friends Tim McAlister, Christy Justice Black, Billy and Christy Bare and Bennie Christian.
A casual gathering to celebrate Tim’s gracious life and fun loving spirit, will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at The Union on Carter. Those wishing to attend may stop by anytime during these hours.
In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes to honor Tim may make a contribution to the Destin Caines Education Fund at Peoples Bank.
