William Clifford Bellamy, 70, of Catlettsburg, passed away Tuesday morning, at his residence.
He was born September 22, 1949, in Raleigh County, W.Va., a son of the late Noah Samuel Bellamy Sr. and Christine Lares Bellamy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley Bellamy and Howard Bellamy; and a brother-in-law, Bill Robinette.
Bill was a 1969 graduate of Boyd County High School and served honorably in the United States Army. He retired following a long career with AK Steel and was a board member of North East Kentucky Fish and Game Association. He was a member of Rush Masonic Lodge 715 F&AM; and the National Riffle Association. He received a bronze medal while at Civilian Marksmanship Program shooting an M1 carbine at the national competition at Camp Perry, Ohio.
Survivors include a brother, Noah Samuel "Sam" (Willie Lue) Bellamy, Jr. of Wilmington, Ohio; two sisters, Joan Bellamy Robinette of Catlettsburg, and Janey Bellamy (Chuck) Lynch of Englewood, Tenn. He is also survived by a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with a Masonic service by Rush Masonic Lodge 715 F&AM at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Chaplain Jimm Smedley officiating. Burial will follow in Bellamy Cemetery in Catlettsburg.
