William Lynn “Bill” Frazier, 79, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday evening, November 26, 2019 in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born December 30, 1939, in Huntington, West Virginia, a son of the late William Newt and Garnet Damron Frazier.
Bill was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where he served as a deacon. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He later graduated with a master degree in Business Administration from Morehead State University. Bill served eight years in the Army National Guard. He retired from Kentucky Power after many years of service. He was a member of the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 350 and was an avid golfer.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 53 years, Gail Moore Frazier of Ashland; son, Christopher Lynn (Tawana) Frazier of Winchester; daughter, Kimberly Frazier (Andy) Allen of Ashland; brother, Robert Gary Frazier of Ashland; sister, Nancy Thelma Frazier of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Christopher Lynn (Emma) Frazier, II, of Georgetown, Caitlynn Danielle Frazier of Winchester; Olivia Grace Allen and Brady Allen of Ashland; two great grandchildren, Able Alexander Frazier and Christopher Lynn Frazier, III; and his beloved dog Ellie.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Rev. Larry Sivis officiating. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
