William R. Rice

William R. “Bill” Rice, 91, of Ashland, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Bill was born March 31, 1926 in Ashland a son of the late Milford and Zona Mae Sagraves Rice.

Bill attended the First Baptist Church in Ashland. He was a 32nd degree master mason of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky, F.&A.M. Poage #325, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of Covington, Orient of Kentucky. Bill was also a member of the American Legion, Clarence Fields Post #76, Ashland, KY and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10017.He served his country honorably with the US Army and retired as a dispatcher for the Kentucky State Police.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
