Bill Franz

William Roy “Bill” Franz, 69, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mr. Franz was born January 8, 1951 in Ashland, a son of the late Kenneth Riley and Gladys Gibson Franz. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother David Franz.
Mr. Franz owned and operated the Garden Roller Rink in Ashland since 1986. He and his family have provided one of the most popular venues in the Ashland area for family gatherings, celebrations and birthday parties.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Linda Hoffman Franz of Ashland, sons Chris (Vanessa) Franz of Tampa, FL, Matt Lowe of Quebec, Canada, daughter Beth Lowe of Westwood, sisters Janet Short of Titusville, FL, Jerrye Franz of Ashland, grandchildren Brady Franz, Mason Franz, Kyle Lowe, Derek Lowe, nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends.
Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be held prior to services from 1:00 till 3:00 at the funeral home.
