Wilma Blackburn

Wilma M. Blackburn, 94, of Ashland, passed away Thursday evening, March 16, 2023 at Woodland Oaks in Ashland. Wilma was born November 16, 1928 in Okarche, OK. She is the daughter of the late Wm. Bryan Moberly and Daisy McCulley Scott Moberly. In addition to her parents, her husband’s Ernest Garvin and Kermit Blackburn, a stepson Lester Blackburn and brothers Wilford Moberly, Donald Moberly and Bryan Leon Moberly, all preceded her in death.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son Phillip Garvin and wife Gloria of Argillite, her daughter Carol Potter and husband Kenneth of Ashland, a sister Ellen Grossman of Oklahoma, grandson Scott (Stacy) Garvin of Argillite, great grandchildren Ethan Garvin, Emilee Garvin, a sister in law Margaret Moberly of Oklahoma and a host of extended family, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at Woodland Oaks and Community Hospice for the exceptional care of Wilma during these past few years of her life. We are forever grateful.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Monday, March 20, 2023 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel by Pastor Lee Jackson. Burial will be in the Klaiber Family Cemetery on Long Branch in Rush, KY.

Visitation will be from 12-1 at the funeral home.
