Donald “Donnie” Rucker 67, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 14, 2017, peacefully at his residence.
Donnie was born November 1, 1949, in Fleming County, Kentucky, to the late Kelly and Eula Johnson Rucker. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Rucker.
Don was the owner and operator of Donnie’s Tri-State Formal Wear.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda Manning Rucker of Ashland; son, Matt (Mandi) Rucker of Ashland; grandchildren, Braden and Benton Rucker of Russell, Ashton and Amelia of Ashland; sons by love, Asif (Rabia) Razak of Russell, Chris Jackson, Bradley Jackson of Ashland, and Dave Morrison and Lawrence Banks of Lexington; brothers, Thomas (Marie) Rucker and Timothy Rucker both of Cannonsburg; sister, Zoe Rucker of Bremerton, WA; three foster children who in a short time stole his heart, Arial, LeeAndre and Riedae and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 1pm Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Pastor J.W. Dunbar officiating.
Visitation will be from Noon until 1pm Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101.
