My cousin Anna Mayo Curnutte Grossl, "Annie," has always been like a Big Sister to me. We moved from the Ashland/Catlettsburg area when I was quite young. Whenever I returned as an adult for a family visit, she always invited me to stay at her lovely home. Anyone who ever experienced Annie's food understands that "she knew her way around a kitchen." Yummy!
She hated housework, but would climb a ladder to repair the second story roof, and she personally poured a concrete pad outside her kitchen door.
Annie, I'm really going to miss you.
Your cousin, Joyce Curnutte Bowden

So sorry for your loss. I so loved your mom... even when she would scold us for playing hide and seek in her beloved flowers. I will miss her!
Fondly,
Julie (Hannah) Hemlepp

Anna was a dear friend, Devoted DAR and Colonial Dame Seventeenth Century member to the very end. I will always remember State Conferences and fun and how she took me under her wing when John and I first came to Ashland 35 years ago! She was a blessing to us all and is sorely missed! Much Love to all the family! Betsy DelSanto
