Frances Pauline Wright, 92, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, February 05, 2017, at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center.
She was born May 18, 1924 in Boyd County, a daughter of the late Everett and Ina Riggs Hicks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Wright in 1990; brothers, Raymond Hicks and Joe C. Hicks; and sisters, Mildred Moore, Opal Hicks, Marie Savage and Lucille McGinnis.
Frances was a longtime member of 13th Street Baptist Church and was a loving and devoted homemaker.
Survivors include a brother, Ralph Hicks and wife, Maggie of Boyd County, KY; sister, Janet Moore of Ashland; dear friends whom she loved as daughters, Leta Picklesimer and Rita Meek of Ashland; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Pastor Jim Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Palmer Cemetery in Flatwoods.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
